Panel Overview
The Star Wars 25th Anniversary Concert was Celebration II’s major Saturday night music event. Anthony Daniels hosted the concert, which featured the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis performing music from the Star Wars films. Jackson Wiley and Orcenith Smith conducted, and the Circle City Chorus joined the performance under the direction of Tony Exler.
The program celebrated John Williams’ Star Wars music from the films released by that point. Reported selections included the A New Hope main title, “The Imperial March,” the Force theme, “Duel of the Fates” with the Circle City Chorus and the throne room finale from A New Hope.
The concert included appearances by Darth Vader and stormtroopers during “The Imperial March,” along with R2-D2. The event was sold out. Some attendees noted that Attack of the Clones music, including “Across the Stars,” was not part of the program.
