Panel Overview

Rick McCallum discussed producing Attack of the Clones, working with George Lucas and the digital production methods used on the film. He talked about the production code name “Black Eyes” and joked about how his weight changed during different stages of production.

During audience Q&A, McCallum was asked about future original trilogy DVD releases and whether they might include both the theatrical cuts and the Special Editions. He said the idea had been proposed and left the possibility open.

A trailer for Attack of the Clones played before Hayden Christensen joined the stage. Christensen discussed moving from Life as a House into Attack of the Clones, taking on Anakin Skywalker and approaching Anakin as both innocent and dangerous. Anthony Daniels praised that dual quality in Christensen’s performance.

During audience questions, Christensen was asked about kissing Natalie Portman and answered that it was “great.” Daniel Logan also asked Christensen from the audience about a GameCube they played while filming in Australia. Christensen explained that he bought it, but Logan ended up keeping it because of the difference in Australian electrical outlets.
