Panel recap: Steve Sansweet previewed The Star Wars Vault, his then-upcoming book celebrating 30 years of Star Wars films, fandom, and collecting. He explained that the book would be distributed in the United Kingdom by Simon & Schuster, released there three weeks ahead of the United States, and supported by an exclusive rebate through Play.com. The presentation included slides of European-language covers and details about country-specific content selected for international editions.
Sansweet showed selected pages from the book, including sections on early Star Wars promotion, original trilogy production, spinoffs, and the importance of the fan base to Lucasfilm. He also highlighted removable memorabilia and archive pieces drawn from collections including his own and the Lucasfilm archives. A major highlight was his discussion of the included audio CD, which led to an audience singalong attempt of the “Life Day” song from the Star Wars Holiday Special.
