Fans watched a video presentation with producer Catherine Winder and supervising director Dave Filoni, who discussed Filoni’s background as a Star Wars fan and his surprise at being contacted by Lucasfilm for a job interview.

Winder and Filoni explained that the new series would differ from the earlier Cartoon Network micro-series by aiming for a stylized but more realistic look. The presentation included clone trooper and Anakin Skywalker design material, with Anakin expected to evolve visually as the war progressed. The trailer was received so enthusiastically that Sansweet played it again, and the report highlighted the scale of the animation, including battle scenes and an AT-TE crash, along with the return of characters such as Asajj Ventress.
