Panel Recap

Star Wars Merchandise Sneak Peek: Disney Parks & shopDisney previewed upcoming Star Wars merchandise for Disney Parks and shopDisney. Hosted by Amy Ratcliffe, the panel featured members of the Lucasfilm and Disney Parks brand merchandising and product design teams.

The panel focused on new and upcoming Star Wars merchandise tied to Disney Parks, shopDisney, Galaxy’s Edge, Star Tours, A New Hope, and character-inspired product lines. The team revealed that Qui-Gon Jinn’s legacy lightsaber would be coming to Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities with a rechargeable battery. They also confirmed that Obi-Wan Kenobi’s lightsaber from the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series would come to shopDisney later, and that legacy lightsabers for Plo Koon and Darth Sidious were also planned for Disney Parks.

The panel highlighted merchandise for the 35th anniversary of Star Tours, including apparel, collector pins, and a limited-edition RX-24 “Captain REX” figure. John Henselmeier discussed designing the 35th anniversary logo, which incorporated the number 35 into the classic Star Tours triangle-style branding.

The Disney Parks team also previewed A New Hope 45th anniversary merchandise inspired by storyboard art and Ralph McQuarrie concept art. That collection included a Hasbro Black Series two-pack of concept-style Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader figures. The panel also previewed new plush creatures for Galaxy’s Edge, including a gorg from Star Wars Resistance and a therii from Amy Ratcliffe’s Elee and Me. The Star Wars Planet Series was also introduced, beginning with Tatooine-themed apparel, accessories, plush, pins, prints, and a map designed for pin display.
