A Wonder-ful Cosplay

Host Kristin Baver welcomes Rosario Dawson to the stage. Dawson opens by discussing the incredible cosplay at Celebration and highlights a fan she met who created a mashup of Wonder Woman and Ahsoka called Wonder Soka, which Dawson loved because she also voices Wonder Woman.

The Evolution of the Lekku

Dawson discusses the makeup and prosthetics process required to become Ahsoka. She notes that while they have previously gotten the process down to an hour and a half, they are tweaking the Season 2 look, and she recently spent six hours in the chair. The technology has improved, with her lekku now constructed from a 3D-printed skeleton covered in a soft, lifelike skin.

The World Between Worlds

Reflecting on Season 1, Dawson talks about filming the World Between Worlds sequence with Hayden Christensen. She reveals that while most of the series was filmed in The Volume, this specific sequence was filmed entirely on a traditional green screen. Because they could not see the environment, the actors relied heavily on Dave Filoni’s pre-visualization animations.

A Mindful Approach

Dawson shares how playing Ahsoka has impacted her personal life. She explains that embodying the wise, balanced Jedi has inspired her to meditate more, be mindful of eating and sleeping habits, and give herself grace so she can be present for whatever life throws at her.

Teasing Season 2

Taking advantage of the fact that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are not on stage, the host asks Dawson to spill some secrets. Dawson reiterates that Zeb will be appearing, confirms the return of Hayden Christensen and Admiral Ackbar, and promises that the upcoming season will feature a massive, highly cinematic war because Thrawn goes big.
