In their first appearance at Star Wars Celebration since the premiere of The Mandalorian, join Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni with special guests for a lookback and a look ahead at what’s to come.

Mando+ brought Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni back to the Celebration Stage for a major look at The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, and the wider live-action storytelling around those series. Moderated by Ash Crossan, the panel mixed reflection on the first two seasons of The Mandalorian with previews of what was coming next.

The panel became one of the biggest surprise-heavy sessions of Anaheim 2022. Pedro Pascal appeared in person alongside Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder, emphasizing that Din Djarin is brought to life through a combination of voice performance, physical performance, and stunt work. Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Temuera Morrison, and Katee Sackhoff also appeared, along with Rick Famuyiwa, who was announced as an executive producer for The Mandalorian Season 3. Grogu appeared on stage as a character moment.

The Mandalorian Season 3 footage was shown exclusively to the room, expanding on the preview from Lucasfilm’s Studio Showcase. The footage teased Bo-Katan, Greef Karga, Peli Motto, Dr. Pershing, Mandalorian warriors, and the continuing travels of Din Djarin and Grogu. The season was promoted for February 2023.

The panel also shifted into Ahsoka. Rosario Dawson appeared in person, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo was introduced on stage as the live-action Sabine Wren. Early Ahsoka footage was shown, including imagery connected to Star Wars Rebels.
