Star Wars Celebration returns, launching with a must-see showcase that will kick the weekend’s festivities into hyperdrive.

The Lucasfilm Studio Showcase opened Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 with Kathleen Kennedy welcoming fans in London and presenting a broad look at current and upcoming Lucasfilm projects.

The showcase included appearances and updates tied to Andor Season 2, The Acolyte, The Mandalorian, Skeleton Crew, Ahsoka, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, and upcoming Star Wars theatrical films.

For Andor, the panel featured members of the cast and creative team, including Diego Luna, Tony Gilroy, Genevieve O’Reilly, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Joplin Sibtain, and other participants connected to the series. The presentation looked ahead to the second season and continued the show’s focus on the early formation of the Rebellion.

For The Acolyte, Leslye Headland and cast members discussed the upcoming High Republic-era live-action series. Confirmed panel participants included Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Joonas Suotamo, Dean-Charles Chapman, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, and producer Rayne Roberts. The presentation introduced the show’s martial arts influence, its place near the end of the High Republic era, and its focus on a period before the Jedi Order seen in The Phantom Menace.

For The Mandalorian, Jon Favreau appeared with cast and creatives connected to the series. The showcase continued discussion of the Disney+ series and its expanding post-Return of the Jedi storytelling.

For Skeleton Crew, Jude Law appeared on stage to introduce the upcoming series, described as an adventure story about young characters discovering the wider galaxy.

For Ahsoka, Rosario Dawson, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Ray Stevenson, Lars Mikkelsen, Diana Lee Inosanto, and Ivanna Sakhno were among the Ahsoka cast members presented at Celebration. The showcase highlighted the live-action arrival of major Star Wars Rebels characters, including Sabine Wren, Hera Syndulla, and Grand Admiral Thrawn.

For Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, director James Mangold appeared with Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen to preview the upcoming Lucasfilm theatrical release.

The showcase’s biggest theatrical announcements included three new Star Wars films: a James Mangold film exploring the dawn of the Jedi, a Dave Filoni film connected to the New Republic era and the Disney+ series storyline, and a Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy film featuring Daisy Ridley returning as Rey in a story set after The Rise of Skywalker.
