Shane Turgeon presented a collecting history of Star Wars animation, from the animated segment of the Holiday Special through Droids, Ewoks and the Genndy Tartakovsky Clone Wars series. The panel connected animation to merchandise, production material and character collecting, looking at how each animated project produced toys, printed items, promotional material and behind-the-scenes artifacts. It also placed animation in the larger continuity of Star Wars storytelling by noting how animated projects introduced or expanded characters, vehicles and settings that later became important to fans and collectors.
