Timothy Zahn wrote Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command, the Thrawn trilogy that helped relaunch Star Wars publishing in the 1990s. His creation of Grand Admiral Thrawn and Mara Jade made him one of the most influential authors in Star Wars Expanded Universe history.
