Joe Johnston is an American director and visual effects artist who was part of the original ILM team that built the visual language of the Star Wars universe. He designed iconic elements including Boba Fett's armor and helped design the Millennium Falcon. He later directed Captain America: The First Avenger and the 1991 film The Rocketeer.
