Denis Lawson is a Scottish actor best known to Star Wars fans for playing Rebel pilot Wedge Antilles in the original trilogy. Wedge appears in A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi, becoming one of the saga’s most recognizable Rebel pilots.

Lawson later reprised the role in The Rise of Skywalker and has also returned to Wedge in voice roles, including Star Wars video games and Star Wars: Visions. Beyond Star Wars, Lawson has had a long career in film, television, and theatre, with credits including Local Hero, Bleak House, New Tricks, and Holby City. He is also the uncle of Obi-Wan Kenobi actor Ewan McGregor.
