Dan Madsen is a pioneering entrepreneur and a central figure in sci-fi fandom, best known as the founder of the Official Star Wars Fan Club and the magazine Star Wars Insider. Madsen was the original producer and organizer of the very first Star Wars Celebration in Denver in 1999.

While interviewing the cast on the set of The Phantom Menace (1999), George Lucas offered him a cameo. He appeared as Dams Denna, a Kaadu handler on Naboo.
