The use of prosthetic hands and limbs in Star Wars is a common theme and one that is very relevant to our world today. Students will create a robotic hand out of everyday items and will test it by lifting an empty can as a way of replicating Luke’s prosthetic hand from Empire Strikes Back. This lesson can be used to test knowledge of forces and gravity on joints in the human body. For grades 5-8
