A Surprise Appearance

Host Krystina Arielle addresses the Star Wars Celebration LIVE! audience, noting what a great weekend it has been. She then excitedly asks the crowd if it would be alright to bring out a friend who really wanted to say hi [00:01]. After the crowd roars in approval, she says, “Okay you asked for it,” and the iconic “Hello there” plays, signaling the arrival of Ewan McGregor [00:16].

Touched by the Fans

McGregor walks out to a massive standing ovation, waving and saying hello. Acknowledging the children in the audience, he jokes, “I won’t swear but my goodness it’s so nice to see you all” [01:09]. He explains that he had just finished his last signing and photograph session and wanted to come out and say goodbye [01:21]. Visibly moved, McGregor tells the crowd how touched he is to meet them, declaring them the “most amazing fans in the world” [01:30].

A Heartfelt Goodbye

As the crowd begins to chant his name, McGregor is brought to tears, saying, “You made me cry” [01:51]. He reiterates how lucky they are to have such wonderful fans and thanks everyone for traveling from all over the world. Promising to see them at the next Celebration, he offers a final, heartfelt send-off: “From the bottom of my heart thank you so much. May the force be with you” [02:14].
