This Petree Stage gathering brought together several production veterans whose work shaped the physical and visual identity of the Star Wars films. Phil Tippett, Jon Berg, Lorne Peterson, Don Bies, Norman Reynolds and Dennis Muren represented creature effects, model work, production design and visual effects supervision. The panel gave fans a cross-disciplinary look at how the films were built, from the design of environments and creatures to the miniatures and optical or digital techniques that brought them to life. It was part retrospective and part craft lesson, rooted in the hands-on methods that defined the original trilogy and influenced later Star Wars production.
